# RECORD IP Portal

RECORD Portal is a non-custodial analytics engine that surfaces intellectual-property intelligence across listed equities. It quantifies how much of each company’s value stems from patents, trademarks, R\&D and other intangibles, expressing that weight through proprietary, IP-weighted metrics. The Portal is strictly informational—it never holds assets, executes trades or issues financial instruments, fully respecting the analytical remit set out in our Terms of Service.

By turning hidden intangible data into transparent signals, the Portal delivers three core benefits:

* **Sharper valuation insight**: it pierces the balance-sheet and market-pricing gaps highlighted in our Position Paper, letting investors see the innovation factor that standard accounts overlook.
* **Cross-market comparability**: a single rule-set allows technology giants, industrials and future IP-rich sectors to be evaluated on the same scale.
* **Foundation for new products**: every mapping feeds a live knowledge graph that will ultimately extend beyond equities to patents, music catalogues, data licences and other IP verticals, aligning with the roadmap published on record.nexus.
